The specialist urology hospital in Düsseldorf-Golzheim has six medical departments:
With 84 beds at present, the Paracelsus Hospital Golzheim, Düsseldorf, is one of Germany’s largest specialist urology hospitals. The hospital covers the entire operative spectrum of modern urology. We treat disorders of the urine-producing and urine-conducting organs and the male genital region as well as urinary incontinence in both sexes.
Our medical team treats advanced malignant disorders such as bladder cancer, kidney cancer and prostate cancer. Its focus is on the chemotherapy of urological tumours. The Paracelsus Hospital Golzheim offers a seamless and holistic treatment concept for tumour patients, ranging from diagnosis to surgical and medicamentous (chemo)therapy to after-care.
Andrology (male medicine) is concerned with specific disorders of the male anatomy and disorders of the male sex organs, such as impotence, sterility, unfulfilled wish for children or deformity. Our specialist doctors are highly qualified in this field and so are able to comprehensively advise and care for patients, particularly in relation to sensitive issues.
In the department of paediatric urology we treat all urological disorders occurring in infants and children. The section head, Dr. Sarah Nolte, is an experienced urologist at the hospital who has specialised in the treatment of urological disorders in infants, children and adolescents for many years. A special paediatric surgery has been set up.
Anaesthesia/intensive and pain medicine:
A qualified OP management and individual pain therapy support the healing process. We have five intensive care beds and one post-operative recovery room. Our pain therapy concept for the prevention and treatment of acute pain has been certified by the CERTKOM - Gesellschaft für qualifizierte Schmerz-therapie e.V. since 2012.
To obtain precise information about the form, position and functionability of the urogenital organs, the Paracelsus Hospital Golzheim employs the very latest digital X-ray technology: this includes a multifunctional uroscope as well as (from 2018 on) a computer tomograph (CAT scanner) of the latest generation. Our patients can therefore benefit from diagnostic radiology of the highest medical and technical standard.
